Jonathan Aspatore is the CEO and Founder of ExecRank.com.
By the age of 23, Jonathan had started two companies, authored seven books on entrepreneurial and financial topics with McGraw-Hill and Houghton Mifflin, and begun his career as a serial entrepreneur. One year later, he founded Aspatore Books, which he grew over a nine year period into one of the five largest business/legal book-publishing houses in the United States, publishing over 300 titles annually with over 4,000 C-Level executive authors, eventually selling the company to Thomson Reuters.
Two years into running Aspatore Books, Jonathan founded ExecSense, which he also grew over nine years to being the leading eLearning company for business executives, eventually selling the company to the Financial Times, a division of Pearson.
Jonathan’s major role at Verb Ventures is to conceive new company ideas, create an initial business model, then hand off the game plan to an entrepreneur that he mentors to test the viability of the business and scale it in the marketplace. Jonathan also guides the entrepreneurs and management teams of existing Verb Ventures companies throughout the lifecycles of the businesses while they run the day-to-day operations of the companies.
Jonathan advises and sits on the boards of several companies, ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies. He is also actively involved in Junior Achievement and youth entrepreneurship in the San Francisco Bay area.
